The DermTech Melanoma Test® is a non-invasive genomic test utilizing DermTech Smart Stickers® to assess equivocal melanocytic lesions meeting one or more of the ABCDE criteria. It detects genomic markers associated with melanoma to distinguish benign from higher risk lesions.1

The DermTech Melanoma Test has a 99% negative predictive value (NPV), meaning that with a negative test result, there is a 99% probability that the lesion is not melanoma.

Recommended Use

The DermTech Melanoma Test is indicated for use on pigmented lesions that:

  • Meet one or more ABCDE criteria
  • Have a diameter of ≥ 5mm
  • Are on patients 18 years or older

The DermTech Melanoma Test reliably rules out melanoma with a 99% NPV and provides objective, actionable results to guide the management of clinically atypical pigmented lesions.

Many early-stage melanomas resemble benign nevi.3,4

Clinical visual assessment is by nature subjective and presents challenges in the management of equivocal pigmented lesions. What is seen as clearly benign or clearly melanoma may vary by clinician.
