Mr. Jacobs is Managing Director of Jacobs Investment Company, LLC, a national real estate development company. In addition, Mr. Jacobs serves on the boards of Next Generation Technologies and Fallbrook Technologies and is Chairman of Nutrina, Ltd., a biotechnology company focused on bioactive supplements for infant formulas. Mr. Jacobs is also actively involved education and philanthropy, serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of High Tech High in San Diego and Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Council for Social Sciences at the University of California, San Diego. Mr. Jacobs received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Peck joined the FDA as Director, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, in October 1987 and was named Assistant Surgeon General for the United States in October 1990. In 1994, Dr. Peck joined the faculty of the Georgetown University Medical Center, where he is the founding Director of the Center for Drug Development Science (CDDS); in 2004, CDDS became affiliated with the UCSF School of Pharmacy. He obtained his MD from the University of Kansas in 1968, trained in internal medicine and undertook a research fellowship in clinical pharmacology at the University of California, San Francisco. In 1980, Dr. Peck became Director of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Professor, Departments of Medicine and Pharmacology, Uniformed Services University, Bethesda, Maryland. In 1999, Commissioner Henney presented him with the FDA Distinguished Alumnus Award. Dr. Peck is currently the Chairman of NDA Partners, LLC.
Dr. Salkind has practiced neurosurgery in the Philadelphia area for approximately 25 years. He has also held professorships at leading teaching hospitals including the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and the Albert Einstein Medical Center. He has published multiple papers and been a guest lecturer at congresses worldwide. Dr Salkind is Trustee Emeritus of Temple University School of Medicine. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania (cum laude) and his M.D. from the Temple University School of Medicine.
Mr. Schwartz has served as CEO of DermTech International since mid-2004 and on the company’s Board of Directors since 2000. He previously served as CEO of NDA Partners, LLC, a drug development consulting firm. Prior to that, Mr. Schwartz was a director at SunPharm Corporation, a biotechnology company focused on the development of cancer therapeutics in partnership with Parke-Davis. The company was later sold to GelTex Pharmaceuticals, now part of Genzyme Corporation. Mr. Schwartz was also Senior Vice President at Drexel Burnham Lambert and a partner in the Airlie Group, LP, a venture capital and investment firm whose general partner was controlled by Bass Brothers Enterprises. In 1998, Mr. Schwartz co-led the $100 million leveraged buyout of Aircraft Service International Group, Inc., and served as its Chairman until its profitable sale in 2001. Mr. Schwartz received an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University where he earned his degree magna cum laude and was elected to its chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
